Love System - Le Galaxie featuring Elaine Mai

We don't often show it but we have a deep love of the mid-80s here at AOR Disco. And this track from Le Galaxie has many of the hall-marks of that era's distinctive sound. With its fat electronic snare sound, melancholic keyboards and a saxophone high in the mix, 'Love System' brings to mind hi-tech AOR acts such as Quarterflash as well as the soundtracks of sax-heavy shows such as Miami Vice and LA Law. 

The track is a departure in some respects for Love Galaxie, who have been described as "Irelend's outstanding party band". The change of mood is partly down to the low-key guest vocal of electronic folk artist Elaine Mai. 'Love System' is the first single taken from the English release of their second album Le Club, and it was mixed by DFA engineer and producer Eric Broucek, whose CV includes engineering for LCD Soundsystem. The single, with remixes by Young Wonder and John Gibbons, is released on the 25th of September.
