Back To The Streets by Rudy Norman

Featured on DJ Shadow's Co-worker Rock Mix in 2010 and on M.C.'s Balearic Sunday Mix on this site earlier this month, Back To The Streets is a rare vinyl 45 from 1980. We can't find any information at all about Rudy Norman and it seems that this single on the obscure New Day label was his only release. With its combination of smooth AOR harmonies, dirty funk,  macho lyrics and low budget production values this record is an oddity but somehow it all fits together.

He's still alive & re-issued his 45- so it's an official release direct from the artist. Cop 1! An original is hard to find & 50-100$
