Steve Quirk of Fusion Flavours has been achieving unprecedented levels of smoothness with his View From The West Coast series. But this Angela Bofill mix is smoother still. A slight departure from the norm for us given the strong soul and jazz element here but there are lots of tracks for the regulars who follow our Westcoast, disco and easy listening strands. These include the superb Boz Scaggs and Johnny Mathis collaborations, and the cover version of Gino Vanelli's AOR classic 'I Just Wanna Stop'. 

"I've loved the music of Angela Bofill ever since hearing her debut release back in 1978 on the GRP label called 'Angie'," says Steve. "She is one of those great Diva singers like Phyllis Hyman and Patti Austin. So distinctive and sublime. Angela had two stokes back in 2006 and 2007 and has had to build her life all over again, starting with walking and talking. I interviewed Angela recently and she's an inspirational woman. I hope you enjoy this journey through the outstanding delights of The Amazing Angela Bofill."
